I've been producing for about eight years now. I started with hip-hop beats and instrumentals until about three years ago when I switched to house music. Both of the genres are my passion so I try to combine them as much as possible.
In the beginning, I was watching a lot of tutorials on YouTube trying to figure out how the DAW works. After a while, I started remaking other people's tracks until I made my own style. That is the point where all started.
I use FL Studio because the workflow and the whole layout of the program works best for me.
Favourite pieces of gear are my studio monitors. I use Tannoy Reveal 502 and I'm so used to them.
Favourite plugin is Serum because of the variety of sounds and things you can do with it.
First, I create the drop and I play around with all of the basses and melodies. Then I always create another variation of the drop, or the second drop and start to work on build and break. Through the work, I decide what works best and then I finish it.
I don't really use any resources anymore, but at the beginning tutorials on YouTube were my best friends.
Recently I saw a video from Big Z on YouTube. The guy has some really good skills and his remakes sound awesome. I recommend it a lot.
Don't rush on things, quality over quantity.
If I don't have fun in the studio, I always go out to walk my dog, hang out with friends or anything else. Recharge your batteries and then try again.
For FL Studio users, Maximus is a really strong plugin on Master channel.
In the beginning, I always sent my tracks to my producer friends for feedback. But now I get the feedback from the A&Rs. Any feedback is good feedback.
I am most proud of my upcoming release called 'Mind Eraser'. One of the first tracks I ever produced and it's been on my PC for over 3 years. Time to release it!
It changed the way I market my music and made it easier to reach more people. Currently, I'm working on a collaboration with rap artist Hemlock I've met through RepostExchange.
