RepostExchange is thrilled to announce a brand new remix competition for 2024! We’ve teamed up with Atlantic Records to offer our members the opportunity to remix ‘Sleepwalking’ by Issey Cross. Issey stormed the UK Singles and Dance charts last Summer with her hit ‘Bittersweet Goodbye’, and now she wants you to remix her acapella version of Sleepwalking. Enter this remix competition for your chance to win some incredible prizes, including an official digital release on Atlantic Records and goodies from GForce Software!
Issey Cross is a figurehead of the UK’s fast-emerging next-gen drum & bass scene, while also establishing herself as one of the most in-demand songwriters across dance and pop, with 4x UK Top 40 singles to her name already.
Issey most recently released ‘Bittersweet Goodbye’ which charted at #19 in the UK and was remixed by the likes of Tiësto, K Motionz & Lens, and also featured on Wilkinson’s ‘Used To This’.
Sleepwalking is “about coping, longing for a place, a feeling or a person that shelters you from the pressures and the burden of external expectations and judgement. In the song, Sleepwalking is a lyrical and visual metaphor for how we can be 'getting through' our days in autopilot without being present.”
Issey will be interacting with the remix entries on SoundCloud, TikTok and Instagram, so posting them online is encouraged!
The winning remix will join the catalogue of the legendary record label, Atlantic Records alongside classic artists such as Aretha Franklin and Led Zeppelin to modern chart toppers Lizzo, Cardi B, Charlie Puth, and Lil Uni Vert*!
But that’s not all, we’ve teamed up with GForce Software to bring you even more prizes worth shouting about! The GForce team have been specialising in vintage synthesiser modelling since 2003 and work with independent developers who share their love of music. They have just launched their new virtual instrument, AXXESS, based on the ARP Axxe Synthesizer from 1975 which is perfect for creating those vintage synth sounds. Winners can take their pick from GForce’s diverse range of VSTs, including the award-winning ODDITY3!
Ready to get started? Navigate to the Competitions tab to download the vocal. All you have to do is incorporate Issey Cross’ Sleepwalking acapella in your remix and enter for FREE before the competition closes at 23:59 UTC on 16 February 2024.
