How long have you been producing music and how did you learn?
The project "Da Bug" started producing electronic music in 2015 and we released our first track around November 2017.
What DAW(s) do you use and why?
Ableton Live, why do you ask? Because it was the first one we got our hands on back in the days and we like to stick with something when it's good! In the end, all DAW's basically do the same thing, it is more getting used to the workflow of it in my opinion.
What are your favourite pieces of gear and why?
One of the best buys we did in the studio is our RME UCX, the quality of this audio interface is out of this world.

What are your favourite software plugins and why?
Xfer's Serum and U-he's Diva.
How would you summarise your approach/workflow when creating a track?
I usually start to fiddle with a couple of synths until we get a sound that is to our liking.
Then we move on to the arrangement.
Next in line is the adding of extra effects where needed and some cleaning up to get rid of any unwanted mud.
Mixing is up next combined with some more equalizing.
And finally, when all is just like we want it we master and send it.
What resources do you use to improve your craft?
One of our most important goto's is Mr Brent Sadowick himself, this guy is our Ableton guru.
What is the last YouTube tutorial you watched that you would recommend to other Re-Ex Members?
We found this to be very important info on EQ sweeping!
What knowledge or advice do you wish you'd learned earlier?
How to layer things correctly.
What challenges related to making music do you face and how do you overcome them?
Sometimes when spending too much time producing you kinda get stuck in the same loop and the only way too get out of that is taking a break for a day or two.

Can you share any killer tips or techniques?
Just one that is super important to us and that is LAYERING… since we came across this technique it changed our sound!
Do you use any online tools to assist with the production process?
No, not really.
Do you try and get feedback or suggestions to improve your music? If so, how?
Receiving feedback is one of the most important things if you want to make progress in creating music. That's why we try to reach as many people as possible, which means, sending tracks to DJ's, friends and different feedback platforms.
Which track are you most proud of and why?
Only one? Haha … I must say Xonic is one of my favorites, maybe even the number one for now(!)
Has RepostExchange affected the way you make music? If so, how?
It didn't change the way we make music, but it changed the way we look at promotion and spreading our music.
